Microneedling

Microneedling in Palm Beach Gardens

A controlled treatment that works with your skin's own repair response, chosen most often for texture, scarring and overall renewal.

The Treatment

What microneedling is

Microneedling uses very fine needles to create tiny, controlled channels in the upper layers of the skin. The channels themselves are not the point — the skin's response to them is.

How it works

Skin treats these micro-injuries as something to repair, and that repair process involves producing new collagen and elastin over the weeks that follow. Because the effect builds gradually, microneedling is generally planned as a course of appointments spaced apart rather than a one-off.

Depth and coverage are set by your provider based on the area and your skin's condition, which is why a consultation comes before treatment.

Concerns it is generally chosen for

  • Uneven skin texture
  • Scarring, including marks left by past breakouts
  • Fine lines and loss of firmness
  • Enlarged-looking pores
  • General skin rejuvenation

This is a cosmetic skin treatment. Outcomes differ between individuals and no particular result can be promised.

What to expect during your visit

Your provider reviews your skin, your history and your goals, then cleanses and prepares the area. The handpiece is passed over each section of the face in turn. Skin is typically pink and warm immediately afterward and a soothing product is applied before you leave.

Aftercare is straightforward but it matters: protect the skin, keep products simple and follow the timeline your provider gives you.

Suitability

Who it may suit

Microneedling tends to suit clients who are comfortable working toward a gradual change in skin texture over a series of appointments rather than looking for an immediate difference.

It is not appropriate over active acne, infections, open or irritated skin, or sunburn. If you are pregnant, take prescription skin medication, have a history of keloid scarring or a skin condition under treatment, talk to your medical provider first and tell us when you book.

Questions

Microneedling FAQs

Does microneedling hurt?

Most people describe it as a prickling or scratching sensation that is manageable. Comfort varies with the area treated and how sensitive you are on the day; tell your provider at any point and the treatment can be adjusted.

How will my skin look afterward?

Skin is commonly pink and feels warm, similar to mild sun exposure, and that settles over the following period. Your provider will explain what is normal for your skin and what aftercare to follow.

How many sessions will I need?

Microneedling is usually approached as a series rather than a single appointment, but the right number depends on your skin and your goal. Your provider will give you a realistic view at your consultation instead of a fixed promise.

Can I wear makeup after microneedling?

Your provider will tell you when it is appropriate to return to makeup and sun exposure. Following that advice matters more for your result than anything you buy afterward.
